On 24 June 2025, students from three educational institutions in Dolna Mitropolia municipality had the exciting opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of science, technology and the Universe during the fifth edition of the festival “Hello, Space”.

In the framework of the project “Strengthening intercultural education through culture, science and sport in the Municipality of Dolna Mitropolia”, implemented with the assistance of Projecteka Association, the event was attended by children from:

Secondary School “Vasil Aprilov” - Dolna Mitropolia

Primary School “Hristo Smirnenski” - Orehovitsa

Primary School "St. St. St. Cyril and Methodius - Stavertsi

The young participants were part of a rich programme including inspiring lectures by scientists from BAS, Sofia University, NASA and CERN, workshops, competitions and demonstrations. They heard space stories from astronauts Sunita Williams and Eitan Stibe, learned about satellites, exoplanets, asteroids and quantum technology, and even participated in the Star Chess Wars 2.0 tournament.

The festival inspired children's curiosity and scientific thinking and showed how culture, science and education go hand in hand. It was not only a fun experience for the students, but also a valuable lesson for the future.
