During the past week, the team of Projecteka Association implemented a series of educational and community-based activities within the project “Promoting Intercultural Education through Culture, Science and Sport in Dolna Mitropolia Municipality”, targeting children, students, and parents.
Implemented activities
Within Activity 1 – Working with children and students to promote intercultural education, sessions were held in the “Lyuboznayko” interest clubs at:

Primary School “Hristo Smirnenski” – Orekhovitsa

Primary School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” – Stavertsi

Kindergarten “Shtastlivo Detstvo” – Trastenik
The activities focused on themes related to happiness, speed reading, concentration, and learning skills. Through discussions, interactive games and group work, children expressed their ideas and emotions, developed communication skills, empathy, teamwork abilities and a positive attitude toward learning.
Under Activity 3 – Support for intensive work to build a community of active parents, meetings and joint activities with parents were implemented at:

Kindergarten “Shtastlivo Detstvo” – Trastenik
At Kindergarten “Slantse” – Orekhovitsa, children and parents presented the traditional custom “Vasilitsa” as part of the activity “Me, You, We – Together”, aimed at preserving cultural identity and encouraging parental involvement in the educational process.
At Kindergarten “Shtastlivo Detstvo” – Trastenik, the theme “Professions” was explored through four thematic workshops. Parents and former kindergarten students presented various professions through practical demonstrations, library-based activities, a “fun laboratory,” and exploration of the local history. All implemented activities contributed to improved interaction between children, parents and educational institutions, fostered inclusion, and supported the development of a tolerant and supportive educational environment.
